Robotics is a great alternative to physical sports!

Students who don’t want to compete but want to be in a team environment can do so by participating in a program below.  Recreational teams will meet weekly for 90 minutes for 10 weeks. A team will choose which program they would like to participate in.

Recreational Robotics I

Students choose a challenge theme to design, build, and program an autonomous robot to complete a variety of missions on a playing field. They will also do a research project, come up with an innovation and a creative presentation.

4th-8th grades

Recreational
Robotics II

Sumo Bot is a sport where 2 robots, using a team’s creative building and programming strategies, attempt to push each other off the arena and score
points to win a match. Students will use a LEGO (R) Mindstorms(R) robotics kit to design, build and program an autonomous battling robot.
